PC GTA San Andreas made ‘Hot Coffee proof’

Rockstar have bowed to the venomous and unneeded pressure by US government officials and a shamefaced ratings board and have now issued a patch that makes the ‘Hot Coffee’ scenes unplayable.

Do not expect GTA: SA Censor Remover to work after installing this patch on the PC version of the game.

The PS2 and Xbox versions cannot be patched so easily and the unfinished content can still be accessed with GTA: SA Censor Remover. PC support still remains for those who have no desire to patch the PC version of the game with this Official game patch.

Rockstar, I feel for you. You were needlessly persecuted by people who do this for almost evil reasons (power corrupts and these people crave it so much and seek easy targets claiming it’s for a better good) and have had a game that isn’t suitable for children re-rated by a body who bowed to pressure from these people instead of standing firm by it’s guidelines.

To the parents who bought their children this game and are outraged by the Hot Coffee scenes, don’t blame Rockstar. You should be aware of what you are buying your child and should be aware of what they are playing on a regular basis since they can borrow games from friends.
Blaming a games company because you are an ineffective parent is nothing more than shameful.

GTA San Andreas is not a game for children.

There are many worse things in this world than Hot Coffee, being an inefficient parent or a sensationalizing scare mongering US official are two of these…

PS2 and Xbox ‘post coffee’ box FIX!

Wow, what can I say, Biggie submitted this fix and it truely does work, so without further wait I’ll let Biggie explain how to escape the invisible box you are stuck in after Hot Coffee:

XBOX/PS2 ‘Post-Coffee Death Box No-Death Fix’
When you exit a girlfirends house after bonking CJ will get stuck in the so called ‘death box’. Here is an easy fix:

Find a vehicle near you (most of the girls have cars) by pressing ‘Y’ (triangle on the PS2). CJ will start to run, but he wont move. Once you know which car CJ is locking onto, end the running by holding back on the L-stick. Shoot the vehicle until it catches fire then hit ‘Y’ (triangle on the PS2) to get CJ running at it again. Once the car blows up, CJ is free again. Easy.

Works for me everytime,
Biggie.

I’ve tested this on the PS2 version and can confirm it 100% working, I’ll be adding this to the help file for the next release with full credit to Biggie

WIP: GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.6

I’m currently fine tuning GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.6 for release next week (I’m waiting on a friendly tester to return from holiday before releasing it), here’s the major changes

User Agreement:
Due to GTA: SA being reclassified as an Adults Only game (in line with the UK rating might I add) the first time you run version 1.6 you will be asked to confirm your age, if you are under 18 the program will exit.

German Xbox saves:
It seems the German saves use a different save folder and signature, these will be fully supported in 1.6

Force save type ‘guessing’
I’ve made 1.6 smarter in it’s guessing of valid GTA: SA saves it doesn’t recognise. Should you use a valid PC save that fails the header check and be presented with the Save Type Selection dialog then it should already have the PC option selected (PS2 and PC saves are harder to guess than Xbox saves)

Help file improvements:
Extra information will be present and little clarifications added such like; You can use Datels Xbox Max Drive saves as well as Xbox AR saves natively with GTA: SA Censor Remover.

Expect a release next week ๐Ÿ™‚

An essential program for AR Max owners

I’ve been meaning to add this to the downloads for a long time now, MAX Codelist Manager allows you to remove all the codes you don’t use from the AR Max codelist update, freeing up a vast amount of space on your memory card.

You need the .NET runtime to use this program

Suicide code for ‘after Coffee’ problems

Just in case anyone hasn’t been able to find this, enter this code whilst playing and it causes you to die, handy for escaping the box of doom after a ‘Hot Coffee’ incident ๐Ÿ™‚

Right, L2, Down, R1, Left, Left, R1, L1, L2, L1

A final note, for those you who are pretty new to this, the older Sharkport/Xport is incompatable with GTA games, you must use an alternative device or make sure you are using one of the versions that does support this game (PS2 disc 2.23 or above, check the inner ring of the CD)

Stuck in a box after ‘Coffee’?

As several people ( thanks Jay) have commented it appears that after playing the removed interactive scenes in GTA: SA you re-appear stuck in an invisible box.

Unfortauntly this is a problem with playing removed and possibly unfinished sections of the game, so far the only way out is to kill yourself (satchel or grenade could be good choices here), DO NOT jump, you’ll be stuck and forced to reload your last save.

If a method of escaping this box that doesn’t involve dying is found I’ll be sure to post it here.

Don’t forget that GTA: Censor Remover can re-enable the censor (disabling the extra scenes) if you decide that you no longer wish to have access to this hidden functuality

End of an era?

I’ve been mulling over this for some time;

Should PS2 Save Tools shut down in the next year?

The need for the software found here has become less and less and each month I shell out excess hosting/bandwidth fees and each month I get zero donations to keep the site running.
Coupled with the new handheld consoles recently released and the forth-coming ‘big 3’ is there really much interest left in PS2 saves?

In light of this I think I will retire the site and domain name when it’s fees are next up for renewal, until then I shall let the site remain as an archive of software and utilties and of course add anything useful that I come across such as the Max codelist manager (I’ll have it up in the next few days)

I hope you have made good use of the software found here at PS2 Save Tools, if any of you do feel like contributing a small sum as a token of thanks then I will use it to pay for the remaining hosting, as always this site has never been about lining anyones pockets with cash ๐Ÿ™‚
