PS2 Save Tools

Just a small update on this beta:

Added option to auto fill section name when extracting. This was added as some sections contain invalid characters for use on the windows file system, default is to ‘off’

Attempting to extract a section with invalid characters will result in the program terminating, this is just a quick fix until I implement a ‘smart’ auto completion of section filenames which will also fix this issue on nPort conversions

More updates will take place to Save Slicer and I will start coding again on a regular basis, I’m due a holiday and things will start rolling again in a month or so

It’s the software you’ve all been waiting for, PS2 Save Tools is very happy to announce the release of PS2MemConv – Translated Edition, a tool to convert saves between the Xport V2 and EMS Memory Card Adapter formats

Thanks to Martine Wei, we received a vanilla version of this software and translated it to English and improved the Xport save handling to natively support the .xps extension.

The program has successfully been tested converting a .psu save to .xps but as my EMS Adapter has recently died I cannot personally test the conversion from .xps to .psu but have no reason to suspect it will fail.

PSU View Loader is a handy tool that removes the ‘japanese saves only’ limitation from PSU View, grab it from the downloads section

Working hard over the Computer, Volure DarkAngel has finally released his CodeMaster 2.0 and off it takes with flying colours.

Working almost exactally like the XcheatED Software it is a wonderful clone supporting both old and new file formats, as well as Archiving Models. Different Icons for Native code Formats useful for easily deciphering and archiving codes.

Volure has graciously updated his program to natively support Xport code saves and added and ‘About’ section

nPort is a free save transferring device, it’s major flaw is it relies on index files, if you add or remove saves the index file is no longer valid.

PS2 Save Tools is happy to announce that with the release of the nPort Index Generator this is no longer an issue

Yes, it’s true. You can now backup saves with the Xport/Sharkport software and keep the true icon by applying the patch found here

Please note that Datel will most likely NOT support any errors or problems you experience after patching, however they have been tested and no problems were found

I’ve added the Installer package of v1.4.8 of PS2SIDC to the Downloads section

I am still commited to changing my programs over to Delphi and therefore I will not be updating PS2SIDC’s GUI (God knows it needs it, this was my first Windows program ever BTW)

The speed increase I have been meaning to implement will also have to wait until the Delphi release, at least you can rest assured that it may be slow but it gets the job done and led onto other tools such as Icon Injector and Save Slicer

I’ve made a new build of PS2 Save ID Changer which should fix the &H8007007E error that some people (including myself) were experiencing, update check and the urls have been updated accordingly too.

Due to an issue with the compiler, the installer package is still on v1.4.7 so it is vital that you apply the 1.4.8 upgrade after installing the package
